The business administration/accounting program offers a broad spectrum of accounting and business experiences. Knowledge is imparted to students on the fundamentals of accounting along with seven specialty areas. With the field of accounting becoming computerized, courses will include the training of accounting software like QuickBooks, TurboTax and Peach Tree just to name a few. Business courses are included in the basic curriculum to insure students understand basic business principles. Complete training in the entire Microsoft Office suite is available to all students that take the opportunity, which can fully enable them to be functional within a broad range of jobs in the marketplace.
General communication and social science classes are included in the curriculum to round out the educational experience. For an accountant level 1, the average salary is $35,848, according to a 2003 Salary Survey.
Professional Administrative Assistant
In today's office setting, basic skills touch on computer operating systems, word processing, spreadsheet creation, database applications and graphics/presentation software. By learning Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access at TSBI, it will enable an individual to take the Microsoft Office Certification Exam which augments his employment prospects further.
Not only will you have the opportunity to learn more about computers and software but you will also have classes in:

- analyzing and evaluating

Students may qualify for financial aid such as loans, grants and scholarships based on need as well as academic achievement. TSBI offers financial aid to students who need financial assistance to finish their training. Applicants requiring financial aid should apply when applying for admission.
