At Liverpool the BA Accounting degree program provides a solid base in all core practical and theoretical parts of Finance and Accounting. Some fields our graduates have entered include accounting, investment banking and asset management. UK professional accounting bodies have significant accreditation to the program. Our current year, the third, has no fewer than 8 papers with the maximum available exemptions from the ICAEW exams.

Programme Content

Out the available 9 papers required, ACCA provides exemptions for up to 8 of them and also provides significant exemptions from CIMA examinations. We are seeking even more exemptions in the future. This school keeps close links with the accountancy business with contacts between academic staff and the bigger professional businesses, experts that regularly contribute to the understanding on particular modules. A professional link seen last year was two students being offered a one year internships with KPMG. Also, workshops in auditing and taxation are conducted by the Deloitte. Accounting and finance, Economics, Statistics and Quantitative methods are some of the modules available in the program content.
