Students at Southwest Florida College can pursue degrees in a range of fields, including health care, criminal justice, legal studies, digital design, information technology, education, business, interior design, and computer aided drafting and design. Programs in these fields provide various concentrations, and students can select the concentration that will best prepare them for their new careers. Students who complete these undergraduate programs can go on to become educators, designers, paralegals, medical assistants, or begin careers in many new exciting professions.

Southwest Florida College is focused on providing students with the hands-on learning and skills they need to succeed. To help students succeed, Southwest Florida College provides simulated work environments in the form of labs related to specific careers. Graphic designers complete courses in the computer lab; surgical technicians learn in a simulated operating room; and CADD students learn in a CADD lab. Classroom sizes are small, so students can get the individual attention they need to succeed.

Applicants at Southwest Florida College must be high school graduates, or have completed a GED or other equivalency program. Students may transfer college credits to Southwest Florida College, and should contact SFC directly to determine whether credits qualify for transfer. After students apply, they undergo placement assessments that enable Southwest Florida College to determine class schedules and placement. Students can accelerate their educations through advanced standing, which includes transfer credits, standardized testing, and challenge exams.
