Real Estate Schools in California

A real estate professional in California must first pass the state license exam. A real estate salesperson needs no prior experience, but he or she must complete college-level courses in real estate principles and practice. The third required course is chosen from several elective options, including real estate appraisal, office administration, law, and finance. A real estate broker needs to have at least two years experience in the industry, and must also finish courses in real estate practice, law, finance, appraisal, and economics or accounting. Additionally, three elective courses are selected. Students who study at real estate schools in California often choose to take exam prep programs, but certificate and associate’s degree programs are also available.
