Project management is the process by which a specific objective is achieved. It is the project manager's job to figure out exactly how this will happen. They determine the schedule of the project, the resources to be devoted to it, how the resources will be disbursed during the course of the project, who will work on or participate in the project, the way to coordinate the various people and companies involved, and what to do when something goes wrong.
Project managers must be very organized and good at delegating. They must have an understanding of the elements involved in each project and know how they will all fit together. In addition, project managers must be prepared to meet any challenge that arises during the course of the project so that it is completed successfully.
