Payroll Administration Schools in Ontario
Payroll administration schools in Ontario prepare students to work within an accounting or bookkeeping department. The job of the payroll administrator involves maintaining accurate records of hours worked, pay rates, taxes, deductions, and anything else related to everyone’s long-awaited paycheck. Perhaps most importantly for fellow employees, their job may also involve cutting the checks or overseeing direct deposits. Usually, an accounting certificate or an associate’s degree in accounting is all that is necessary for this position. Classes include general accounting practices, computer applications, payroll accounting, information systems, and business law. In smaller offices, payroll administrators may also perform other bookkeeping and accounting duties.
