Organizational managers must contend with such matters as: Is the business successfully achieving its goals? Does the company meet industry standards of excellence? Does the business have adequate decision-making processes in place? Is the company systematically attracting the talent it needs?
Organizational managers may evaluate organizational performance, establish company goals, monitor and assess progress, analyze systems and processes, determine company and personnel deficiencies, and advocate for change within the organization as appropriate.
To work in organizational management, you must have good communication and analytical skills. A degree in Organizational Management is also a valuable asset.
An Organizational Management degree may include courses in communication, leadership, group behavior, strategic planning, project management, human resource management, and organizational change.
