Students at Minneapolis Business College can complete programs ranging in length from 8 to 16 months, depending on the students' paces. Many of these programs award either a diploma or an Associate degree, although some programs offer only the program or the degree. These programs include office administration, legal administration, accounting, graphic design, network management, and medical assisting.

During a Minneapolis Business College program, students learn the actual skills they need to begin a new career. This varies from a traditional four-year university in that students are learning only the skills they need for their new careers; not extraneous information that doesn't provide an advantage. Students at Minneapolis Business College get a hands-on education in classrooms designed to simulate actual working environments, in order to prepare students for the challenges and situations they'll encounter during the course of their new careers.

Some Minneapolis Business College programs offer externships designed to provide students with hands-on experience in their field. These externships are typically eight weeks in length, and are required in order for students to earn their degrees. At the end of some degree or diploma programs, students may be required to take national certification examinations in order to become certified in their new careers. Minneapolis Business College does not mandate these certification exams, but federal regulation requires them for some professions.

Students who are interested in a Minneapolis Business College education should schedule a tour of the school. During the tour, students meet with admissions representatives who interview students to determine whether a Minneapolis Business College education is appropriate for their needs.
