Business: Human Resource Management Emphasis
The reason for the Department of Business and Economics is to involve students, staff, and faculty in the teaching, learning, and application of economic and business knowledge to augment the well-being of humanity. If you can serve, get involved with God and His creation, as well as pursue the basic principles of love and justice in this complicated and incredibly diverse world, then you can achieve the prior. The business department offers three majors. The first is business, which builds on a core of courses and is completed with an emphasis in marketing, international business, human resources management, finance, or accounting. The second major offered is economics and finance, and the third is economics. Students need to finish an internship in their area of interest along with their necessary course work. A minor in business or economics is the perfect complement to a major in another field.
Studies in this department get students ready to begin new careers in business, government, and not-for-profit areas of the economy. It is also the perfect start to graduate work in business, economics, public policy and law.
