Whether pursuing a diploma or associate's degree, the beginning keyboarding course helps students develop touch keyboarding skills necessary to input information with speed and accuracy. The English composition course is considered one of the required core courses. Students develop their reading comprehension, written communication, and writing proficiency through much practice in planning, outlining, writing, and editing.

Further fundamental and elective coursework is available to the office management and administration program student and includes such studies as the introduction to business ventures, word and information processing, further work in English composition, PowerPoint presentation and graphics, accounting basics, and oral communication.
